Writing a book takes imagination, persistence and, apparently, a cat willing to inspect every page before it is finished.
Mine is almost certainly a paper dragon in disguise. He has an uncanny ability to settle on the keyboard or writing pad at exactly the moment the words begin behaving themselves.
It may not be the fastest creative partnership, but it keeps the writing days warm, funny and just unpredictable enough to feel like one of my stories.
